Dreamy Drinks | Unicorn, Mint Matcha, & Beauty Lattes

Ever since I saw the beautifully hued drinks that echo colors of gemstones and elusive unicorns, I knew I wanted to recreate them.

Drinks for me are a therapeutic routine.Whether its waking up early (or even creating them at night!) to brew a warm cup of coffee and topping it with spices and pink salt, pouring the creamy frothed milk as a finishing touch. I take pride in the aesthetic process and nutritional components, savoring the nuances of flavor and these stolen moments of reflection.

But I also enjoy playing with the rainbow, in the form of nature’s palettes. Consuming edible for me comes from a place of nourishment and creation – enjoying the process and seeking the arrangements. Contentment in what I’ve made (or being cognizant of what to do next time)

I created three plant based lattes in beautiful colors. One is a take on the unicorn latte: a serene ocean hued drink that I topped with vegan sprinkles. It’s lush and a neutral palette to which you could add citrus juice or coconut butter if you wanted to expand on its flavor. The color is made from Blue Chai’s Organic Blue Matcha Powder (caffeine free) + feel free to use your own sweetener of choice like cane or coconut sugar.

The green hue comes from Wild Foods Matcha Powder. Y’all this is a tasty drink – creamy, a bit nutty, and smooth. I added a few drops of organic mint extract and it just raises the level on the flavor. Matcha does contain caffeine and I added a sprinkling of chlorella for more color!

Rounding out the color is a more muted tone. Deep mauve is created from Anima Mundi’s Mangosteen & Hibiscus powder. Herbalist Adriana Ayales deeply focuses on sourcing fairly traded and organic herbs. This powder contains vitamin C and incase you didn’t know, Hibiscus is a flower. Floral lattes? Yes please. I had a few lemons around so I topped this beauty tonic with some lemon zest and crushed Curr Berry tea.

All of these dreamy herbal lattes taste great warmed or with iced. Have fun experimenting with nature’s colors! + Video at the end!
