October, it felt like you came and went so fast. I can’t complain because I savored you as much as I could. From visiting Big Bear, getting lost at the pumpkin patch, visiting Disney in the Fall. While I ended up making my own pumpkin spice lattes this October, (highly recommend and you save a few dollars!) my actual Halloween was not incredibly exciting (fell asleep right away when I got home from work but hey I needed that rest!)
I’ll still be sharing my October Goals and a little later this month I will share November’s. I tend to journal late at night, when I feel a bit more comfortable to reflect. Am I the only one? I tend to be a night owl although I am working on developing healthier habits and getting to bed at a decent time. There are multiple layers of health which can at times feel exhausting but if it is anything I have learned in these past few months, it’s worth investing in.

Finally, it’s June and so we reluctantly welcome the rising temperatures but being to surround ourselves with plans and lots of iced lattes to keep us going. There’s always a beauty in every season and summer is no different. I got some new plants from The Sill including a Peperomia Ripple Ruby as well as a Calathea Fusion White beauty.
When I think of summer the concepts that come to mind are carefree days, firefly filled nights, winding down but also filling in as many plans as one can. There’s definitely wanderlust brewing and car rides with the windows down and the music flowing.

This is completely belated but, never late than never right? May has been a really busy month: work wise and creatively. I’ve definitely taken the time this month to have more experiences and gatherings. A few of my loved ones had birthdays this month. I think I spent more time venturing out and speaking my truth instead of sitting idly when there’s something I want.
I’ve realized that there’s a difference between being in observation (or present) versus in thinking mode which can have your thoughts jumping to conclusions or focused too much on the past or future, things in which we have no control. This month I emphasized my thoughts on what I wanted in that moment. This led me to sleep earlier and therefore I have been waking up earlier.
